Henk Wezelenburg DVM has started and managed several pet animal clinics in Den Bosch (Vet. Clinics Kruiskamp, South, North, Rosmalen - Centre, www.vet4life.nl), together with colleague practitioners. After 30 years of general practice Henk will now devote himself exclusively to one particular aspect of (veterinary) medicine, endoscopy. For human medical care endoscopy is practised as a routine in many specialities (e.g. gynaecology, ENT, urology, orthopedics, surgery), but in veterinary medicine so far little use has been made of the technology.

Henk Wezelenburg has assisted and observed human endoscopic procedures for several years in The Netherlands. Spring 2004 he followed a course in Veterinary Endoscopy at Athens University in Atlanta US, and visited veterinary clinics there performing endoscopy. Meanwhile endoscopic equipment has been procured and installed in Wezelenburg's Endoscopy Centre in Engelen ( see pictures). J.B. Koppenol, a gynaecologist with extensive experience in endoscopy, is involved as advisor to the endoscopy centre.
